| Explosive DL who gives offenses fits, Jones is nearly impossible to block. Length allows him to keep OL off legs and out of numbers (chest). Understands lateral movement and fit, thereby allowing himself to make a lot of plays down the LOS. Is an attention-to-detail player who is very technically-sound. | Biography: |
A big, athletic defensive end for one of the top teams in the state of Georgia, Jones looks like he could have the frame to be a defensive tackle in college.
2008: 91 tackles, ten for a loss, 15 sacks, two forced fumbles.
Jones was highly decorated his senior year achieving 5A Defensive Player of the Year for both the AJC and GSWA. First Team All-State Georgia Magazine, Mobile Press Register's Super Southeast 120 and he was selected for the Under Armour All-Star Game.
2007: 72 tackles, 13 for a loss, nine sacks.
