| As a junior at Cerritos (Calif.) Gahr, Nielsen led California in passing and was second in the nation in passing after throwing for 4,363 yards and 35 touchdown passes to five interceptions. Had a 65% completion percentage. Had five games where he threw for over 400 yards including a 453 yard, six touchdown game in the opener. Was the San Gabriel Valley League MVP in leading Gahr to a 10-3 record and the CIF-SS Western Division semifinals. |
