| During his 2008 season, Ward had 92 tackles, eight sacks, 16 tackles for loss, two fumble recoveries, two blocked punts and two tipped passes. Two of his sacks forced fumbles that Notre Dame recovered. Named First Team All-Serra League. Nominated to be a part of the U.S. Junior National Team for the International Federation of American Football Junior World Championships in Ohio.
During his 2007 junior season, Ward had 35 tackles as an outside linebacker for Sherman Oaks (Calif.) Notre Dame. Missed part of the year with a minor leg injury.
Played on varsity as a sophomore for Notre Dame in 2006 and was called up as a freshman in 2005 after earning Freshman MVP honors.
Ward benches 300pounds, power cleans 292 and squats 440.
Ward reports a 2.8 core GPA and is taking the SAT in May for the first time.
Ward: "I'm incredibly quick to the ball and have great closing speed. I'm very violent when I play. I attack as fast and hard as I can.
"I still want to improve my lateral shuffle and footwork. I want to improve my knowledge of the game too."
