| 2008: Johnson helped Buford to their second consecutive 15-0 season and AA State championship. He ran for more than 1,300 yards and 23 touchdowns while sharing the load in the backfield and coming out of the game early many times because of a lopsided score. He also had two kicks returned for touchdowns. All-Area First Team as a junior. He says he can bench 380-pounds, squat 510 and has a 35-inch vertical jump.
Partial senior (1-1) stats: 50 carries for 343 yards and six touchdowns.
Johnson plans on majoring in education and reports a 3.0 core GPA and has a 20 ACT.
Johnson:: “I have great balance. I’m very elusive and I have great speed and vision. I’m a pretty balanced back.
“I want to work on staying low through the hole. And I want to make sure I finish all my runs.”
