| A coach on the field if ever there were one, Southerland does it the right way. He always seems to be in the right place at the right time and much of this can be attributed to his unusual ability to diagnose plays before the snap. Isn't overly athletic, but plays downhill, is smart and very tough. Will be an asset to the Commodore program, will be a quality teammate and will graduate--Burke Hayes |

Southerland had 115 tackles his senior year, 62 of them solo, three sacks, two fumble recoveries. He was named AJC First Team All-State 2A linebacker and GSWA First Team All-State 2A linebacker.
As a junior, Southerland had a total of 68 tackles, 2 forced fumbles, and a fumble recovery. |
