| During his 2008 senior season at Logan (Utah), was named 3A MVP by the Salt Lake Tribune, 3A MVP by ABC4 TV Sports Zone, 1st Team 3A All-State by the Deseret News, Region 11 MVP, 1st Team All-Valley and Team MVP. Was also named the Joe Montana ‘Utah’ High School Quarterback of the Year. Finished with 3,180 yards passing (9th overall in state history) with 42 touchdown passes (3rd in state history). Rushed for 821 yards and 12 touchdowns and had over 4,000 yards in total offense with 54 total touchdowns (2nd in state history).
Finished his career with 5,460 yards passing (11th alltime), 71 touchdown passes, 1,311 rushing yards, 22 touchdowns on the ground, 6,771 yards in total offense and 93 total touchdowns.
As a junior at Logan (Utah), led school to 3A State Title in 2007. Threw for 2,280 yards and 29 touchdowns and rushed for 490 yards and 10 touchdowns. In five games, played only a half because of Logan HS routs. In the semifinals, threw for 238 yards and five touchdowns and in the finals, threw a touchdown and ran for two.
Was a First Team all-Valley pick, a First Team all-Region selection, First Team all-state by the Deseret News and Salt Lake Tribune as well as ABC Channel Four. Named Offensive MVP during the state playoffs.
Academically, has a 3.4 GPA and holds the rank of Eagle Scout.
