| Tony Hurd finished his junior season with 86 tackles (53 solos), five interceptions and one fumble recovery. Hurd says he can bench 325-pounds, squat 430 and has a 35-inch vertical jump.
Partial senior (1-4) stats: 40 tackles with four interceptions and one fumble caused.
Hurd plans on majoring in engineering and reports a 3.5 core GPA and a 1460 three-part SAT.
Hurd: “I have a very polished technique. I have quick-twitch hips and play with a lot of finesse.
“But I’m also aggressive and am a great mover.
“I have good technique but that’s something I’m always working on. I’m trying to improve my back pedal and I want to be a perfect technician and do all the little things well.
“I’ve bulked up quite a bit recently and yoga is helping keep me flexible and agile.”
