| Biography: |
| Louis Young finished his junior season with 34 tackles and five interceptions (one returned for a score). On offense, he caught 18 balls for 400 yards and four scores. Young says he can bench 255-pounds, squat 435 and claims a 34-inch vertical jump.
As a sophomore, Young had 44 tackles, 12 pass breakups, three interceptions and two forced fumbles.
Young plans on majoring in business or marketing and reports a 3.2 core GPA and is taking the ACT on June 13.
Young: “I’m a big cornerback. I have the size of a safety and can match up well with the tall receivers. I also have good closing speed and have great pass coverage. I also have a smooth back peddle, but I’m working on breaking on the ball better when I’m off man. I’m trying to get more picks on defense too.”
Young is also being recruited for basketball and says he has offers from Maryland and William & Mary. He averages 10 points, 6 assists 4 rebounds and 3 steals per game at point guard.
