With his size and frame, he'll likely end up putting his hand down at defensive end, and once he begins to focus on one position and adding size and strength, his athleticism, talent, and intensity will take over. 2009: Birmingham News Super Senior Pre-Season
2008: Sanders rushed for 1,057 yards on 121 carries with 16 touchdowns in only seven games. He caught 13 passes for 208 yards and two touchdowns. He accounted for 90 tackles, 71 solo, 32 for a loss, nine sacks, four forced fumbles, six interceptions, two pass breakups, one blocked punt and four blocked field goal attempts.
Sanderson was a finalist for Mr. Football, and named 1A ASWA All-State first team defensive lineman.
2007: Sanders recorded 79 tackles, 19 sacks, five forced fumbles and three blocked kicks in 2007. He caught nine passes for 200 yards and five touchdowns as a tight end. He added 48 carries for 422 yards and two touchdowns. He was named All-State..
Sanders says he’d like to major in criminal justice and reports a 3.6 core GPA and a 19 ACT, which he plans on retaking.
Sanders: “I have great speed. I also have a real good bull rush and just go hard. I try and go as hard as I can on every play.
“But I’m still working on my technique. I want to improve my moves…my swim, strip…all of them.”
