Kicking Coach Chris Sailer of Chris Sailer Kicking's Comments:
Will has the potential to be a phenomenal punter. He has the size, strength, and athleticism to be a great D1 punter. He says he can bench 240-pounds and has a 28-inch vertical jump.
Hagerup plans on majoring in business and reports a 3.0 core GPA. He won’t disclose his SAT score but says he’s already qualified.
Hagerup finished his junior season with an average of 41 yards per punt. He was a perfect four of four on field goals with a long of 44 yards.
Had a 39 yard punting average and a 58-yard kickoff average as a sophomore on varsity.
Hagerup: “I have good leg strength and I’m taller so that’s a big advantage for me. I’ve got good hang-time and I’m pretty consistent.
“But I’m still working on my get off time and drop placement.”
