| As a junior, Walker Ashburn played a key role in the Patriots’ Class 2A state championship run that ended with another ring for headman J.T. Curtis. He finished the year with 91 tackles and 14 sacks. He says he can bench 355-pounds, squat 520 and has a 32-inch vertical jump.
Ashburn reports a 3.6 core GPA and got a 19 ACT as a sophomore and plans on retaking his test in the fall.
Ashburn: “I’d say I’ve got great quickness. I have good technique too. I’m a very technical player. I have a great motor too and I’ll run after the ball wherever it is.
“I’m trying to get better all around. There’s nothing I can’t get better at. I’m always pushing myself to go harder and be better.”
