Jackson seems to always make the first man miss, follows his blocks and has a good burst. He runs with vision and instincts and is a shifty and elusive back that can be very hard to bring down because of the balance he shows. Despite his lack of size, Jackson can take a hit and find ways out of tight spaces. He likes to get off tackle and use his speed on the perimeter and is also a very good return man. He will need to add weight. – Matt Alkire

Biography:
Jamaal Jackson finished his junior season with 160 carries for 1,577 yards and 20 touchdowns. He also had a kick return and punt return for touchdown along with two receiving touchdowns. On defense he registered 30 tackles and two interceptions. He says he can bench 265-pounds, squat 450 and has a 31-inch vertical jump.

Jackson was named honorable mention All-Combine in San Antonio after running a 4.4 40-yard dash and a 4.34 short shuttle.

Partial senior (2-1) stats: 450 yards rushing and five touchdowns

Jackson plans on majoring in sports management and reports a 2.5 core GPA and an 18 ACT. Says he’s qualified.

Jackson: “I think my biggest strength is my elusiveness. I have great breakaway speed and I’m hard to catch. I’m just very quick.

“I want to bulk up. I want to be more powerful and hit harder.”
