| James Wright finished his junior season with 47 receptions for 1,056 yards and 18 touchdowns. He also rushed for 214 yards and four scores on 22 attempts. Wright received LSWA Class 4A All-State honors to go with his All-District 8-4A and All-Metro awards. He says he can bench 300-pounds, squat 450 and claims a 36-inch vertical jump.
Final senior (5-6) stats: 51 catches for 1,151 yards and 15 touchdowns
Wright wants to go into a pharmacy program and reports a 3.7 core GPA and a 19 ACT, which he expects to retake - no set date.
Wright: “I’m pretty strong and can break tackles. I’m also good at catching the ball and can run well. I play very physical and fight hard for the ball.
“But I still want to get quicker and improve my explosiveness off the line."
