| Grimes is a corner with good length and toughness. He is a physical corner that plays better closer to the line of scrimage. He uses his hands well up tight, he jams very well, and he plays a very physical corner position. He can work on overall quickness, his backpedal, and play in zone. | Tony Grimes finished his junior season with 41 solo tackles and five interceptions. He says he can bench 275-pounds and has a 32-inch vertical jump.
Grimes plans to major in business administration and reports a 2.8 core GPA. Previously Grimes said he took the ACT on June 13, but now denies taking the test.
Grimes: “I’m a good leader. I’m also a very physical player and probably as nasty as they come. I read the quarterback well and come off my breaks hard.
“I want to keep getting better and keep learning more. I want to be a total student of the game.”
