He enrolled at USC, then Loyola Law in 1974 and began practicing law in Los Angeles in 1977. After eight years of civil litigation practice, Allen founded the nationally-renowned SuperPrep magazine in June, 1985 and originated SuperPrep.com in August, 1996. Allen continues to publish SuperPrep magazine out of his Laguna Beach home.
