Keelin Smith is a standout defensive back prospect from Treasure Coast and Scout caught up with him…
Will Smith take other visits?
"I have talked to my coach and I am seriously thinking about what I want do," said Keelin Smith when asked about taking visits to schools other than Florida State. "I only want to take another official visit if I am serious about that school, so I am still undecided. Alabama and Michigan State are the two schools that still call me, but the main one I am thinking about is Alabama. I just don't know about visits yet." What he does know is, whether or not he takes another official visit or two outside of his one to Tallahassee, it will be extremely difficult for that coaching staff to change his mind. "I mean I am not going to say things cannot change, but I am still pretty set on going to FSU. If i did not feel sure about my decision, I never would have committed to them." "I have gotten very close to the coaching staff, especially Coach [Mark] Stoops and I feel good about Florida State and what they can do for me. I really like Coach Stoops a lot and I know he can make me a very good cornerback when I get there. He has talked to me about improving my back pedal and things like that, but he likes me a lot. Him being there kind of puts me in the bag to FSU." Not only has the 6-foot-2, 190 pound corner out of Port St. Lucie (FL) Treasure Coast gotten close to Stoops, but he has gotten close to another Seminole commitment too. "I have been talking to Bobby Hart a lot and we have have become good friends," said Smith. "We want to visit FSU at the same time with a lot of the other commitments, so we can all hang out and stuff. I like the guys that I know in this class and I think FSU is coming back. I want to be a part of that." Smith's still uncertain about taking other official visits, but whether he does or doesn't take them, he seems set on being a Nole in the end.
