6-foot-5, 225 pound senior Mason Schreck talks about why he feels Buffalo is the school for him…
First Offer In For Schreck
Medina (OH) quarterback Mason Schreck picked up his first offer recently, when Toledo notified the strong-armed passer of their intent. Schreck led Medina into the state playoffs last year as a junior, and engineered a first round upset over Canton McKinley. Schreck, 6-foot-5, 215-pounds, has also performed well this winter at various combines, including the Michigan Football Showcase. The offer from Toledo came as a surprise. "I had been talking to Toledo recently, and they told me to call them today (Monday)," Schreck stated. "I was talking to Coach (Matt) Campbell on the phone and he said they were offering me a scholarship. I was really thrilled to hear that and also very relieved." "I think a lot of Toledo and what (head coach) Tim Beckman is building up there," he added. "I think I'm still smiling since I heard that news. I have a good relationship with the Toledo staff and I could see myself playing there. I was there about a month ago for junior day and loved it." There are several other programs recruiting Schreck and he has a few unofficial visits left on his schedule, in addition to the schools he has already visited. "Last Friday I was at Bowling Green and Saturday I was at Ohio State," he explained. "I'm not sure how serious Ohio State is, but they invited me to the scrimmage and I went. I had a great time and I'm hoping to hear more from them." "I have visits upcoming to North Carolina State, Wisconsin and North Carolina for camp, and I've been in contact with all three," he continued. "I'm also hearing from Northwestern, Minnesota and Cincinnati. I will be going to two different Elite-11 quarterback camps, at Ohio State and Penn State."
