Washington, a junior, set the tone for the game on the first two plays from scrimmage. On the first play, he delivered a vicious hit to a would-be receiver; separating the football in the process. On the next play, Washington blitzed, sacked the QB and forced a fumble that put Archbishop Rummel in a 3rd-and-14 position.

  • Jarett Triplett

    Quarterback - 5-10, 175

    East St. John

    Carencro

Nixon connected with WR Shawn Thomas on a 10-yard fade for a TD and set up two more scores with adept passing and strong running. Carencro defeated Cecilia, 24-0.

  • Donald Gage

    Wide Receiver - 5-10, 165

    Redemptorist

  • Clarence Scott

Thus, East St. John's win was preserved, and it was also the first time East St. John had prevailed against St. Charles Catholic in three years.
