Hawks Land TX QB

Iowa picked up a verbal commitment from Class of 2013 Texas Quarterback Nic Shimonek on Thursday afternoon, according to his mother.

According to the mother of Class of 2013 Mildred High (Corsicana, TX) quarterback Nic Shimonek, her son verbally committed to play for the Iowa Hawkeyes on Thursday afternoon.

"We're all real excited," Tresa Shimonek said. "He's really looking forward to playing there and getting on to that chapter of his life and football career."
