4-Star QB Headed to Eastern Michigan

Brogan Roback

Brogan Roback dazzled Scout reps at the New York City Elite 11 to earn MVP honors, but the big-time offers didn't follow. Still, he trekked through the recruiting process and ended it on Saturday with a pledge to Eastern Michigan.

Standing 6-foot-4, 180 pounds and equipped with an arm stronger and more accurate than most, Brogan Roback felt he should have the verbal scholarship offers to reflect his talent.

Despite shining at the New York City Elite 11 tryout and taking in several BCS-level camps, the big-time offers didn't come.

The trend didn't deter the Toledo (Oh.) St. John's Jesuit signal caller, as he decided to end the recruiting process on Saturday morning.

"After a long rough process I have committed to Eastern Michigan to play football," he announced on Twitter.

Roback, who chose EMU over reported offers from Bowling Green, Miami (Oh.), Ohio and Toledo, is the second quarterback to commit to the Eagles in the Class of 2013 joining Pennsylvania product Brandon Bossard.

The Eagles' fourth commit in the class is rated a four-star prospect on Scout.com.
