Douglas Talks Nebraska Visit
Avon (OH) cornerback Ross Douglas is back on the market following his decommitment from Penn State. Douglas, a three-star cornerback, visited Nebraska last weekend unofficially. "It was great at Nebraska last week," Douglas stated. "All the coaches were on vacation, but they came in to meet me, which was great. They conducted a very thorough eight-hour visit, and they showed us everything about their program. Nebraska is a great school and they've been good for a long time." "One of my good friends, Kevin Gladney, is committed there, which is nice," he added. "I don't really know any of the other Ohio guys committed to Nebraska. Coach (Bo) Pelini was great and he reminded me of my father. He's the kind of guy that if you do the wrong thing, he will put his foot up your tail. But, if you do what you're supposed to do, he will love you and coach you up. We talked for over an hour and he told me he wanted me at Nebraska. I'm also close to (assistant coach) Terry Joseph, and he has been recruiting me for two years." Douglas has one other visit set up for this coming weekend, and there could be more after that. "I will be going to Wisconsin this weekend," he explained. "I'm taking a wait-and-see approach because I don't know too much about Wisconsin. I know they've been to the Rose Bowl the past two years, and that's impressive. They have great tradition, and I'm looking forward to hearing what they have to say." "I don't have any other visits set up, but there could be more," he continued. "I'd like to get this done soon, and I'm hopeful I can get it done before my season starts. I do not want this over my head during my senior season, so I want to go as quick as possible on this." FoxSportsNext will continue to monitor the Douglas recruitment, and will update his situation as warranted.
