Two-star defensive back Austin Logan, one of Northwestern's top secondary targets, has picked Purdue…
Cats on the verge of adding three?
Several reports are indicating that Kentucky may be getting ever closer to finishing up their 2013 recruiting class. The Wildcats may be adding three prospects this week, all of which fill needs for the Kentucky class. Austin Logan - Florida State University School – 6-foot-1, 190-pounds (4.5-forty): Austin Logan is yet another Florida prospect who has Kentucky high on his list. The defensive back has great size coming into his senior year and could play any of the defensive back positions at the next level. But with his size, he looks like a natural at safety. Logan excels in run support, but he also shows good break on the ball. Logan has offers from Purdue, South Florida, Stanford, Northwestern, Southern Miss and Florida International. Rashard Fant - Our Lady of Mercy High – 5-foot-10, 160-pounds (4.37-forty): Rashard Fant is a speed prospect who could see action on either side of the field. Fant's quickness and acceleration make him ideal as a slot receiver. But he has shown well this summer at the corner during his camp opportunities. Fant appears to be the kind of player who can contribute on both sides of the ball. He holds offers from Kentucky, Florida State, Ole Miss, Western Kentucky and Utah. Deangelo Yancey - Mays High – 6-foot-2, 197-pounds (4.59-forty): Deangelo Yancey is physical receiver that has seen his stock continuously rise during the off-season. Yancey has good hands and is strong enough to go across the middle and make difficult catches. Yancey can also be an outside threat for the deep ball. He has offers from Kentucky, Ole Miss, Wake Forest and North Carolina State. He's choosing between Kentucky and Ole Miss this week.
