Highlands quarterback Donovan McCoy has been dominating for his team as a senior. After five weeks, McCoy had thrown for 919 yards and 11 touchdowns. He also rushed for 441 yards and ten more scores. Things have been a little quiet for McCoy on the recruiting front, but he did take a visit recently.
"I visited Dayton a couple of weeks ago," said McCoy. "It was just a general tour, thought. I really liked it. I will probably try to get in contact with someone there," he said.
Clark Kissick is also beginning to get more of a feel for his recruitment as he approaches the midway point of his senior season.
"I haven't really had time to do a lot of recruiting things. I'm visiting Western Kentucky sometime soon," Kissick said. "They want to talk in person. I visited Morehead State last week and I loved it. I'm still hearing from Georgetown, Kentucky and I'm probably going to visit Eastern Kentucky soon. That's where my dad played, so that's always a home feeling place for me," he continued.
Dekota Jones also has been hearing from a school recently. After finishing up a hard fought game Friday night against rival Trinity, Jones talked with FOX Sports Next about recruiting.
"I haven't taken any visits. Colorado State has been talking to me," said Jones. "They said they like what they see," he said.
Jones doesn't know a lot about the Rams, but he is trying to do his homework.
"I know a little about them. I get things from them in the mail. I like their defense and they just got Alabama's Offensive Coordinator, Jim McElwane, as their head coach, which is good."
FOX Sports Next will have more on these prospects and others in the coming weeks.
