2014 Scout 300: West Coast Perspective

The release of the Scout 300 showed what an intriguing year it could be out West next fall. The overall talent level in California appears to be a bit down at this early stage while the state of Arizona looks loaded once again.

Here's a look at the 17 players out West who made the Scout 100. We'll check out the players who were rated in the 101-300 range in a later story. There wasn't a consensus choice as the top overall prospect in the region but Fresno (Calif.) Central two-way standout Michiah Quick got the nod and he's definitely deserving.
