McKnight holds five
2014* RB/LB Kameron McKnight reports five offers. "Mississippi State, Notre Dame, Tulane, Louisiana Tech and Houston have offered," he said. "I like Mississippi State and Notre Dame because they're really big schools that can help you go anywhere. "I also like LSU, Alabama, Southern Miss and Ole Miss, but I really don't have any favorites. This summer I'm going to camp at a whole bunch of places. Mississippi State wants me to camp - so do LSU and Alabama." He's being recruited as an athlete. "Coach (Brandon) Middleton from Houston is recruiting me as a running back, wide receiver or defense," he said. "Mississippi State has been talking about defense...either defensive end or outside linebacker. "We start spring practice Tuesday (today). Mississippi State and Notre Dame are coming to watch. I like that Mississippi State isn't too far from home. I like Notre Dame, but I'll have to think about the distance." Jabbar Juluke is recruiting McKnight for Louisiana Tech, while Mike Neu is putting in the work for Tulane. In 2012, he rushed for 563 yards and five touchdowns on 54 carries, and added 11 receptions for a hefty 425 yards and three TDs. On defense he totaled 64 tackles with 14 sacks, 23 TFL, eight passes broken up, five forced fumbles and three fumble recoveries. East Feliciana is also home to four-star OLB/DE Kendell Beckwith (LSU signee). *Originally classified as a 2015 prospect, McKnight is in the process of adding two courses that will allow him to graduate next year.
