Two In-State offers for Norton
Jacksonville (FL) Trinity Christian defensive and offensive lineman Kendrick Norton was busy this past weekend picking up three additional offers. The talented offensive and defensive lineman picked up offers from both Florida and Florida State according Trinity Christian assistant coach Jerrod Ross. A day later Norton picked up another SEC offer in the form of South Carolina. The rising junior already had offers from Auburn, Boston College, East Carolina, Georgia Tech, Indiana, Louisville, Penn State, UAB, UMass and Vanderbilt coming out of spring practice Almost all the schools listed above had a coach present at the Trinity Christian spring game including Florida and South Carolina. At 6-foot-3 and 283-pounds Norton is a tough, physical blocker on offense who plays through the whistle. He has moved from guard to tackle this spring. On defense he has shown the ability to force a new line of scrimmage and teams struggle to single-block him. "I am excited about the Florida and Florida State offers," said Norton on Saturday night after learning of the offers from Coach Ross. Norton started at offensive guard and rotated in on defense last year as a sophomore. On defense he registered 16 tackles, 5 tackles for loss and 4 sacks.
