The 6-foot-2, 180-pound Harmon, a class of 2016 receiver from Palmyra (N.J.) High, was sensation in every facet. He had tremendous hands, ran his routes well, came out of breaks with speed and tracked the ball well, and in the process became the surprise of the event.
"I've only been playing football for a few years," he said. "It's new to me. I love it. I am having a great time playing."
Harmon made eight catches for 187 yards and two scores as a sophomore. He also intercepted two passes on defense.
"I wanted to see how I would do against better competition and prove what I could do," Harmon said. "I think I do a good job with making big plays late in games. I need to get more mature within the game, knowing situations like when to get out of bounds and (seeing) defenses."
"I like watching Rutgers because of Quron Pratt," Harmon said. "He actually lives like two houses down from me.
"You watch teams like Texas on t.v. and you see the players, but watching Rutgers, I know one of the players. I like watching that. I don't really know him because he's older than me, but he's from (the neighborhood)."
