Fred Tompkins Looking for First Offer

The University of Texas coaching staff is making the state of Texas a priority. The staff is leaving no stone unturned and each coach is traveling roughly a thousand miles a week to see as many prospects as possible. One player who had a visit earlier today was Fred Tompkins.

Fred Tompkins checks in at 6-foot-4, 230-pounds from Hempstead (TX) and plays defensive end. While he is still looking for his first offer he is attracting a lot of attention at this time.

"It's going good with Texas," Fred Tompkins said. "I am very interested in the school. Schools that have come to see me are Texas (twice), UTEP, North Texas, TCU and Boise State."

Tompkins is working hard to earn that first scholarship offer.

"My speed, lateral movement are things I wan to work on and pass rushing is my strength," Tompkins said. "The school I like is Texas, reason why is I've grown up watching them and I have always been a fan." Recommended Stories
