Speedster Impresses At NFTC
Jordan Overton is coming off an impressive sophomore season at Lyndhurst Brush, and is one of Ohio's top 2016 prospects. He could project to either wide receiver or cornerback at the next level. Overton, 5-foot-11, 170-pounds, worked out at wide receiver Sunday at the Nike Football Training Camp and impressed with his speed and ability to catch the football. "I was motivated to do well at Nike, because I love being at Ohio State and love their facility," Overton stated. "I knew the competition would be great, so I knew I had to be ready. I think I did real well in the drills, and in the one-on-one's." "I was able to get off the line and separate from the defensive backs," he added. "I learned a lot of things today that can help me next year at Brush, so this was a great experience for me." College recruiters have already noticed Overton, even though he has two seasons of high school football left to play. "I have ten offers right now," he explained. "The last two were Eastern Michigan and Buffalo. I have no favorite right now, and I'm honored with all my offers. I'm considering everybody, and I'm thankful to have offers being so young." "I have visits coming to Notre Dame, Cincinnati, Ohio State, Michigan State, Tennessee, and a few others," he continued. "Tennessee is the latest school to start showing interest, and I'm looking forward to going there and checking them out."
