Robertson Lands First Big Ten Offer

Robertson Lands First Big Ten Offer

Fort Wayne (Ind.) Wayne class of 2016 defensive end Auston Robertson talks about the Indiana offer he landed after his performance at the RAS Camp.

Despite never playing defensive end prior to this month, Auston Robertson now has three scholarship offers at the position after Indiana extended an offer today.

A 6-foot-5, 235-pound rising junior, he was the Defensive Line MVP at today's RAS Camp. He had a chance to be coached by the Hoosier coaches during the day and later in the evening, he received official word from head coach Kevin Wilson.

"He told me to come down to campus and check things out and he told me he's willing to offer me. At the end of the conversation, I asked if I was offered and he said yeah and I was extremely happy."

He added, "I really like them. I really like the coaching staff."

For Robertson, who admits he has not had an easy road to this point, the opportunities he has received in the last week are life-changing.

"It means a lot because I don't really come from much, so it means a lot to go to college for free and get school for free."

But he knows this is just the beginning and he has a long way to go still.

"It feels great but I just want more. You're never satisfied."
