It's no secret that Purdue head coach Darrell Hazell is looking to establish a power running attack…
Purdue Believes In Worship
It's no secret that Darrell Hazell had great success at Kent State playing power football, and he is hoping to do the same at Purdue. Saturday's commitment of bruising tailback Richard Worship is another step toward that style of play. Worship, 6-foot-1, 245-pounds, is a three-star back who can pound the ball inside, but also has the speed to go long distance. He chose Purdue over several other schools. "I have committed to Purdue," Worship told Scout.com Saturday evening. "I definitely have to say the team is a family, and that impressed me so much. They do everything together as a team, and the coaches are great guys. I love the campus, and the high academic atmosphere fits me perfectly." "I committed to Coach Hazell, and thanked me for having the faith in him as a head coach," he added. "He told me we are going to be able to run the football going forward, and he has me excited about Purdue football. He told me to keep improving physically, and stay strong in the classroom." "Once I took my second visit to Purdue, I sat down at home and thought about for two days," he continued. "I knew I couldn't pass up this opportunity, and I had a gut feeling this was my dream school. I'm not sure about graduating early, but it's certainly possible." Worship is the sixth commit commit for Purdue's 2015 class, and the third runningback, following Robert Ennis and Markell Jones.
