Glackin Talks Latest Campus Visits
Having already collected seven scholarship offers in June, Class of 2016 linebacker Jango Glackin recently visited two the campus of two of the programs that have offered. "I visited Eastern Michigan the other weekend," said Glackin. "I liked it there and the main thing that caught my attention was the coaching staff and the time I spent with Coach (Chris) Creighton who took me back to his office and spent some time with me. I feel he's a nice and genuine person and will be succesful. "Coach Creighton also talked about the new gray field turf they are putting down and that should be pretty cool. But the more important thing was his belief in recruiting players with high morals and character and how they believe as a staff they have a real good opportunity to turn the program around and I believe him." While the Eagles head coach might have done a solid job while the junior linebacker was on campus. It was main recruiter Todd Frakes that earned the visit from one of Ohio's top 2016 prospects. "Coach Frakes has been my main recruiter and is the main reason I visited their campus," he said. "He's a great guy and I felt I owed him a chance to show me what they are building as I respect the work he's doing in this area recruiting some great kids." This past weekend, Glackin visited another Mid American Conference program in Akron. "I really enjoyed my visit to Akron," he continued. "I was very surprised as it was a mix of urban and rural. Coach (Danny) Breyer is a great guy and Coach (John) Peterson is also a great guy. Both were great during my visit for taking the time out of their day to show me around. "Akron has a great indoor facility; in fact, it might be one of the best I've seen so far. They also have a great stadium and you can see they've put a lot of money and effort into what they are building there under Coach (Terry) Bowden."
