A day after announcing his commitment timeline, Greenville (Texas) 2015 receiver D'erren Wilson…
Wilson to Decide This Week
The high school destination for D'erren Wilson's senior season has been questioned a few times in recent days, but that appears to be settled. Now, it looks like Wilson plans to make his decision for his college destination as well. Scout.com national recruiting analyst Greg Powers confirmed that Wilson will play at Greenville (Texas) High School this fall for his senior campaign. Wilson, who played for Greenville in 2013, had been at Dallas Bishop Dunne during the spring and there was recent confusion concerning for which he would play this fall, but Powers got word that it will indeed once again be Greenville. With that looking like it's settled, Jeff Reed of AStateNation.com -- which covers Arkansas State for the Scout network -- reported Monday afternoon that Wilson is down to three schools from which he will decide Wednesday: Arkansas State, BYU, and Indiana. Arkansas State targert@Dwilson_81 D'erren Wilson of Greenville, Texas expected to announce Wed. Finalists: @RedWolvesFBall, Indiana and BYU.— Jeff A-State Nation (@ASUJeffReed) June 30, 2014 Including the aforementioned trio of finalists, the 6-foot-2 1/2, 172-pound Wilson holds a total of seven FBS offers. The other four schools are Louisiana-Monroe, Memphis, New Mexico State, and Toledo. At almost 6-foot-3, Wilson has a very good frame that has plenty of room to add positive weight. Wilson is also an adequate athlete. He recorded a laser-timed 4.71-second 40 at the Houston Nike Football Training Camp in early April. He also posted a solid 4.28-second pro agility time and a vertical leap of 33 1/2 inches. Wilson led Greenville in all three major receiving categories in 2013, snagging 19 passes for 369 yards and four touchdowns. Check back with Scout as we track Wilson's expected Wednesday decision.
