Who were some of the big standouts in week one of Kentucky High School football? Scout.com brings you the Best of the Bluegrass.

Zyaire Hughes – McCracken Co. – QB – Hughes started off his junior year in a big way, completing 11 passes for 246 yards and three touchdowns. The Kentucky commit helped his team to their first ever win over rival Paducah Tilghman.

Rasheed Jones – McCracken Co. – WR – Picking up where he left off last season, Rasheed “Pooh” Jones had seven catches for 135 yards and two touchdowns. He also returned a kickoff 90 yards for a third score.

Ramone Kelly – Doss – LB – Ramone Kelly spent the first half of his opener punishing the offense. He had 15 tackles, three forced fumbles and two sacks.

Elijah Sindelar – Caldwell Co. – QB – Elijah Sindelar completed 28 passes for 429 yards and five touchdowns to open up his senior season. Sindelar, a Purdue commitment, was poised and accurate all night.

Tyler Addesa – Meade Co. – ATH – Tyler Addesa did it on both sides of the ball Friday night, picking up 10 tackles and forced two fumbles, recovering one. He also carried the ball nine times for 50 yards and three touchdowns.

Keyron Catlett – Christian Co. – WR – After being one top freshmen in the state last season, Catlett appears to be on his way to another big year. He had 11 catches for 212 yards and two touchdowns.

Damien Harris – Madison Southern – RB – All-Everything running back Damien Harris ran for 123 yards and two touchdowns in a 24-7 victory Friday night. The game was called at halftime due to lightning.

Lucky Jackson – Lafayette – WR – The Western Kentucky commitment had five catches for 167 yards and three touchdowns in the first game of his senior year.

Jaylen Boyd – Caldwell Co. – RB – Senior running back Jaylen Boyd was dominant in victory, rushing for 304 yards and five touchdown on his way to helping his team score 78 points in their opening game.

Marquez Trigg - Glasgow High - RB - Senior - Marquez Trigg had a "business as usual" approach Sunday in Glasgow's win. He has 25 carries for 137 yards and three touchdowns.

Michael Nero - DuPont Manual - RB - Senior - After a postponement of their season opener to Sunday, Michael Nero didn't disappoint those who waited. In his 14 carries, he picked up 162 yards and three touchdowns in his team's victory.
