Scouting Hjalte Froholdt

Here are some highlights and analysis from Hjalte Froholdt in action late last month against Tallahassee Godby.

Hjalte Froholdt is now playing his high school ball at Bradenton (Fla.) IMG Academy. He was previously at Warren (Ohio) Harding his sophomore season. Last year he played for a club team back home in Denmark. Froholdt, a four-star recruit, committed to Arkansas over schools such as FSU, Michigan State, Michigan and Ohio State.

Froholdt, 6-foot-4, 292-pounds, is playing the defensive tackle position (three-technique) for the IMG defense. He’s a big body in the middle who shows the ability to move and make plays behind and down the line of scrimmage. Froholdt is strong and can hold his ground and take on blockers.

There’s no question that his better days are in front of him as he continues to learn the position and the game. This is a big bodied kid with talent, natural strength and some athleticism.
