Robinson Picks Up First Offer
Harrisburg, Pa., native Adrian Robinson picked up his first scholarship offer recently from Connecticut after helping his team to a 12-1 record so far this season. The 6-foot-2.5, 235-pound strong side linebacker has already posted 75 tackles, 19 sacks, seven forced fumbles, three fumble recoveries and a touchdown on the season and with his academic issues nearly worked out, hoping that more schools will start checking him out again as they did early in the process. "I just got my Clearinghouse information and it says I need to either raise my SAT score or GPA just a little bit to have everything to the point where I am good," Robinson explained. "I got a 930 on my SAT and plan on taking it again and have also kept working on my core GPA, so I think I will be fine." As far as schools showing him interest, three programs are really standing out to Robinson currently. "Connecticut offered me recently," Robinson said. "They had a much better season then I thought they would and my recruiter Coach (Hank) Hughes seems like a good guy. He told me that they like me as a strong side linebacker and I am planning to take a visit there eventually." "Coach (Brian) Angelichio from Pittsburgh is also a really nice guy, but for some reason I get the feeling he doesn't think I am very interested in Pittsburgh which definitely isn't true," Robinson stated. "I like the way they play a lot and they are close to home, so I would love to check out Pitt. I also know a lot of players there and was very impressed with their win over West Virginia this week." Akron has also been in contact with Robinson as of late.
