Curtis Takes Trip to Stillwater
De'Anthony Curtis, a 5-foot-9, 195-pound running back from Fairview High in Arkansas has been a commitment to Arkansas since earlier this summer, but now that the coaching situation is unclear in Fayetteville he has decided to take some official visits. First up was an official visit to Oklahoma State this weekend. "It was a good trip," Curtis informed. "I really liked the facilities and was impressed with how they are all going to look." "They want to use me as a running back. I really like the offense. It is a good offense and I kind of know it a little bit because it is similar to what we ran in high school." Curtis also felt like he fit in well with the players and the coaches. "I liked all of them," he stated. "We all made a connection. Lavunce (Askew) was there, but I hardly got to see him. He seemed like he liked it." Curtis says that he is not done taking official visits and he has at least on emore trip in mind. "I think I will be taking one to Texas Tech," Curtis relayed. "Most likely it will be sometime in January." Curtis was short and to the point when he asked what his current situation was regarding the Arkansas Razorbacks and his verbal commitment. "I am still committed," Curtis said. As a senior, Curtis rushed for 1,237 yards and 18 touchdowns on 119 carries and added an additional 40 receptions for 707 yards and four scores. He also cashed in two punts and two kick-off returns, bringing his season total to 26 touchdowns.
