Zips Land Local Pledge

J.D. Brookhart and his Akron coaching staff received some good news late last week as they landed a verbal from Lake Catholic standout Randy Greenwood.

Lake Catholic head coach Mike Bell informed The Cleveland Plain Dealer newspaper staff that his standout defensiev back Randy Greenwood has committed to the Zips.

Last season as a junior, Greenwood finished with 953 yards rushing and receiving last season. He scored 13 touchdowns and had four interceptions.

The 5-foot-11, 180-pound, cornerback could play a number of different positions in college, but he is most likely to end up as a cornerback or safety. Recommended Stories
