Ja-Mes Logan Update

Westfield HS product Ja-Mes Logan visited Ole Miss this weekend for his final official visit. What were the talented wide receiver's impressions of Oxford? Read about it inside.

"The visit was good. Very good actually," said Logan. "I liked it a lot. I got a good feeling about Oxford. It's a good place, a good campus and the players were real cool. It was a good visit."

Logan was hosted by sophomore wideout Lionel Breaux, but he also hung around with a few other Rebel wide receivers.

"The players were real good people," he said. "I was hosted by Lionel Breaux, but I hung out with Dexter (McCluster) and Shay Hodge as well. Those guys are really nice young men."

The 6-foot-3, 185 pound three-star receiver from Westfield high school in Houston, Texas got to meet with a handful of players while on his visit, and came away with glowing remarks.

"Lionel, Dexter and Shay showed me around town and introduced me to a lot of different players," Logan said. "I fit in real well. I liked everybody I met. They made me feel right at home."

Along with the players, Logan was also impressed with the Ole Miss coaching staff – especially head coach Houston Nutt.

Scout.com's No. 124 ranked receiver had a very productive meeting with Nutt on Sunday and appears to have come to a decision.

"It was a good meeting," he said. "He explained how I'd fit in with the offense and stuff like that. He knows where I'm going."

Does that mean Logan is leaning the Rebels' way?

"I can't say right now," he explained. "It's between Ole Miss and Missouri, but Ole Miss is my favorite. I'm going to wait until signing day to announce."

Logan reports a 3.2 core GPA and a 1350 SAT.
