Bohanna Gets Visitor
Ferlando Bohanna profile "We're 8-2 and we're going into the first round of the playoffs," said Ferlando. "We play Germantown this weekend. It's a big game for us. We lost to them twice last year. They put us out of the playoffs last year, so we know we have to play hard." Despite both teams knowing each other as regional foes, an on the field match-up did not take place in the regular season. The hard hitting linebacker is doing his homework to ensure he is up to date on what Germantown likes to do. "I am studying film on them right now," said Ferlando. "I am getting to know what their tendencies are. They are a running team we just have to play football against them." Bohanna is working hard to make sure that this year's playoff bout has a different result than last year's. He believes the 2009 Whitehaven team is better suited for a playoff run this year. "We have a good quarterback, so we have a leader on offense and I am the leader on defense," said Ferlando. "We're real condident in our team and what we can do. I think we have a good chance of winning, if we go out and play well." Earlier this week, Bohanna had the chance to speak directly with the head coach from one of his most eager pursuers. "Coach Mullen from Mississippi State came by on Monday," said Ferlando. "It went great. I am really looking forward about going down there again and going to the Alabama game. "They had already offered me, but he told me how much he wanted me down there." While the Bulldogs' head man had a lot of positive things to say, he stopped short of pushing for a verbal pledge. "They have talked to me about committing before, but they aren't pushing me," said Ferlando. "They know I am wanting to wait until after the season. I want to make my decision in December, so it's not much longer now." The hard hitting linebacker reports that no schools have been officially elimated from contention. He hopes to take in a few visits before a final decision is made. "I am looking at all of the schools that have offered me," said Bohanna. "I am going to have to get my ACT score in before I can take any visits, so I am getting all that set up now. I don't really have a leader, I am just waiting everything out."
