Atlanta MVP Camp: Offensive Notebook
Close to 300 prospects from four different states competed in the MVP Camp in Atlanta over the weekend. It was a very talented field with prospects in the 2011, 2012, 2013, and 2014 classes represented. Strong Group of Quarterbacks Plant City High School out of Florida brought up nine of their top football players to participate in the MVP Camp and their class of 2012 quarterback walked away being named the best at his position. Bennie Coney really threw a nice ball all day in Atlanta. It came out of his hand hot, he made each throw asked of him, and while his velocity stood out a lot, he also threw with nice touch. He has good footwork as well and he is on track to be one of the top quarterbacks in the South in a couple of years. A couple Peach State quarterbacks in the class of 2011 had strong days as well. Neither have offers, but both Alex Ross (Buford) and Ronnie Bell (Sandy Creek) can play at the Division I level. They have more in common than not having an offer yet too...
