Scout's Take: Iowa CB commit
Torrey Campbell just committed to Iowa. What to Like: Speed. He has plenty of it. He's one of the fastest kids in his area -- both on the track and on the football field. You can't teach that and Big 10 schools are always coming to Florida to find it. He plays on both sides of the ball and is considered a top notch athlete, especially for someone his size. He's shown big play flash before and he's the type of kid who can go the distance at any time, if used on special teams. He can run with just about any receiver put in front of him. What may concern you: He played mostly offense in high school so his experience on defense is a bit limited. He's still very raw on that side of the ball and even when he does play, he's rarely tested. He'll need some time to develop his skills. And for as talented as he is, he's never put together a great year on either side of the ball. He had an OK sophomore season and a decent junior year. He can finally make big things happen this fall? Bottom Line: Iowa, along with every other Big 10 program, comes to Florida every year in search of speed and with Campbell, they found plenty of it. He's a three-star prospect who had several other BCS offers so it should be considered a quality corner pickup for the Hawkeyes.
